I am offering you a set of active operating headsets RACAL FRONTIER 1020 type.
The headphones were designed as individual equipment of a special forces soldier.
The offered set is practically the most modern set of active headphones available on the market.
It is used in many NATO armies.
The offered set performs several functions simultaneously:
- protects the hearing against very strong sound levels, all kinds of explosions and other very loud acoustic phenomena that may damage the hearing, at the same time enables normal voice communication with other members of the ward, because each earpiece is equipped with a microphone that transmits external sounds to the ear
- cooperation with communication equipment (radio stations)
In this case, the sound of speech is taken mostly from the inside of the ear, and to a much lesser extent from the outside, thanks to which even a high intensity of external sound makes communication easy.
Of course, the sound reaching the user's ear is processed in the central unit of the set, therefore its intensity is constantly set to a safe level.
The offered set is perfect for all kinds of team activities, because team members can communicate simply by voice.
Most of the active sets constructed earlier completely suppressed the sounds from the environment, which was first of all dangerous, because, for example, people wearing these headphones could not hear oncoming vehicles from the rear, and also had difficulties in communication if they did not use radio devices for this purpose.
Another important feature that distinguishes the offered set from previous systems is that you can wear ordinary hearing protectors (large headphones) on the active headphones, which are in the ears, and we have the comfort of communication all the time, and at the same time sound attenuation increases significantly.
Due to the fact that the microphone receives the speech signal from the ear, communication is still ensured, it is very important in the case of places with very high sound intensity, as it greatly improves the quality of communication.
The offered device is powered by a single ordinary AAA battery (little finger), which lasts for several days of continuous operation (if it is a good battery, it can easily withstand several months of use for several hours a day).
The offered device was made for the military, in a waterproof version and adapted to be worn on various types of mounting systems, thanks to which it is universal.
The left and right handset are equipped with flexible wires with a metal stiffener, which is bent so that it is conveniently led next to the ear, at the same time the headphone cable and the cable connecting the device with the radio station, it has 2 clasps to distribute the cables around the equipment.
Metal stiffeners located by the headphones, you can gently disassemble and lead the cable in the flexible version, if the headphones are properly mounted and the cables are well attached, even intense head movements do not cause discomfort or the possibility of the headphones falling out.
The headphones are inserted into the ears using a silicone adapter (mushroom), exactly of this type is used in ordinary, passive hearing protectors.
Thanks to the unified diameter, you can use components from the 3M system or other companies, as well as sponge components from other headphone systems or hearing protectors.
Sets of 2 silicone mushrooms cost from PLN 3. These are popular items as they are interchangeable details in passive hearing protectors.
Of course, the offered set can be used without connecting to the radio, then it works like ordinary active headphones with a limitation of the sound level reaching the ear.
The offered set works with virtually all radio stations, thanks to the fact that it has a large tolerance of the input and output voltage range M.CZ.
It works without any problems with KENWOOD, YESU, ICOM, BAOFENG radios, in one of the photos you can see a set with a cable for the BAOFENG radio station.
If the radio does not have a VOX system, the PTT button should be pressed on the radio, while if the radio is equipped with a VOX system, then after appropriate regulation the transmission is automatically turned on when we start speaking.
People who buy the kits will receive a list of the output connector and a scan of the manual. The connector is dismountable, it can be soldered to a different type or the cable can be soldered to the required standard.
