I purchased this rare GOLD PLATED belt buckle from the original owner who is now in his late 80s. He told me that he had gotten it in the early 1970s when he went to Philmont as a leader in his BSA Troop. He told me that this was a special GOLD PLATED buckle that he had purchased way back then. The belt buckle is in very nice vintage used condition. This belt buckle is truly GOLD PLATED. Some small amount of wear on the front of the buckle (see pics). I personally went to Philmont when I was 15 years old in 1978 (one of the best trips of my life). The belt buckle that I have to this day is just the old plain brass buckle. I was tempted to keep this one, but alas I'm letting it go to the highest bider. Thanks very much for looking.
