It weighs 4.7 grams. It has a gold standard mark as well as makers marks on the interior.  It has a Birmingham, England stamp that dates to 1814.  The cartouche opens and closes perfectly and is in great condition.  The interior grille with pierced circular openings has a gold wash.  This vinaigrette came from a museum de-acquisition so it has been taken care of very well. Numbers on the interior denote the acquistion date, and reference numbers from the Chicago Museum of Art.  Joseph Willmore was one of the most prolific and renowned silversmiths to have worked in the famous Birmingham silver industry, and any of his silver work makes a great collector's item.  A lovely piece for ann antique silver collection.
