It is the Boy Scouts of America’s premier high adventure base with 35 staffed camps and 55 trail camps across the rugged terrain that ranges in elevation from 6,500 to 12,441 feet. More than 1 million Scouts, Venturers, and Advisors have experienced the adventure of Philmont since its first camping season in 1939.
    The Philmont Staff Association has been uniting the Philmont Staff- Past, Present, and Future since 1973. The PSA was originally formed to bring fellowship even beyond the gates of Philmont Scout Ranch, it has ensured that there is always opportunity to reconnect with friends from long ago.
