Description

A very fine antique English sterling silver vinaigrette.
In the form of a fish with realistically engraved eyes, fins and scales.
A hinged cover in the form of the fish's head opens to reveal a grille and sponge compartment.
The body supports 5 sections of an articulated tail.
Together with what appears to be it's original red leather case.
Struck with hallmarks to the tail and underside of the grille.
A highly desirable vinaigrette that is a strong addition to any collection!

It is in overall very good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. The case with some light wear.
