    Description

    Here is a Beautiful Athol No. 614 Bench mount Vise. I don't want to say Machinist just because It is made by Starrett(before it was starrett). The vise opens to 8". THe vise is in excellent condition with little wear from little use. I got this out of our local jewelers basement like a few other items listed with little signs of use. It opens and it closes very smoothly. I oiled the surface due to cast steels habit to get that "dust rust" i call it. I took a dry rag after and rubbed it down to get any excess off the surface. I think it came out wonderful. It has the 3 hole mount. It appears it would mount perfect onto a 2" thick wood bench. I wouldn't go much thinner unless your bench is metal.
